before presenting some of my arguments on these articles, i would first like to express my utmost disappointment on the political knowledge/ignorance of our younger generation. for starters, none of them seem to know the dire political state we are currently in. most appalling of all is that a wide majority of them chose to ignore it completely. i was very disappointed when i heard one of my friends mentioned something like this to another who was visibly worked up over the inequality shown in our country "why are you getting so worked up over this issue? it doesn't concern you anyway". i just cannot accept the sentence "doesn't concern you anyway". my friend! how can this not concern you when it is your own future and livelihood we are talking about here? how could you accept the lopsided political landscape of this country just like this? what is the meaning of justice and equality if this does not concern you?
i for one am no expert in the political scene of our beloved country. indeed calling me a novice would be an 'overstatement'. i won't label myself smart or bright either but seriously, when you go through the articles written above, one cannot help but say that they rank of racism, inequality and intolerance.
- don pushes racial line in 1 Malaysia: first of all, i'll start by calling this entire article hog wash to put it mildly. for those of you who do not yet know, Tee has been a super religious frog by leaping first from Buddhism to Christianity then on to Islam. while i do not condemn a person being converted from one religion to another, i do question the understanding he has for these 3 religions. well from the article it is obvious that he holds Islam above all other religions. now this to me is already a huge mistake. i for one do not hold my own religion (Buddhism) above any other religion. i personally believe that a religion is a good religion as long as it espouses love, equality, non violence, spices and everything nice.
"I think the Muslims in this country are very tolerant and soft. Their religious festivals and funerals are well mannered and simple. Roads are not congested. Their graves are very small. Compared to other religions, which the number is already smaller, at times the roads are congested the whole day on certain festivals. The graves are so wide and large."
- I am no Muslim, and i do not know much about Islam but i think Islam does not encourage a Muslim to show that his religion is superior to that of other religions. just look at the way he phrases his words! while i agree that Islamic graves are tidy and small, i cannot but disagree that roads are not congested during Islamic celebrations, i live in Selangor, and during Hari Raya and Friday prayers the road ARE congested and yet i do not complain! why? because my Muslim friends do not complain when there are funeral processions of their Taoists friends blocking the road! after all, it is just a minor inconvenience. i also do not complain when i hear the call to prayers being projected by mosques five times every day because i respect other people's religion!
“How long will this practice be continued, whereas the population is growing but land is limited? So far, the Muslims are not that noisy compared to others, although their graves are narrowing and protests from the non-Muslims are increasingly bolder when there is an increase in Islamic cemeteries.
“My formula should be used as a guideline. Is it fairif the numbers of non-Muslims are not many, but their graves actually sink the Muslims graves? Have we asked the views of the Muslims and their sensitivity? Those with money build the tombs so high and so wide and beautify them with statues as far as the eyes can see."
- again the hated word 'compare' appears in this paragraph, please stop comparing your religion to other religions. i do not have high blood pressure now but i'm sure it will spike once i finish this article! and please! your formula should not be used as a guideline. think of how many more twisted individuals like you it will produce! formula my ass. for your information, i do not see any grave of one particular race sinking that of another race. of course non Malays are protesting when there is an increase in Islamic cemeteries! in case you did not notice, which is highly unlikely anyway, it is impossible to get government land for non Muslim cemeteries! and i'm also guessing that non Muslim cemetery operation associations are taxed by the government. i'm just guessing, anyone please correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure i'm not!“Are the number of churches and the pile of houses of worship to the extent of sinking the number mosques and suraus not considered as rights? Have we ever prevented them from going to church every Sunday? Do not compare with the Muslims because we worship differently. We have different needs. Similarly goes the requirements for jamaah prayers.

- C'mon man! no one is sinking anybody else here..again! and what does preventing or allowing someone to go to church every Sunday has to do with this? so you're saying you're being benevolant for allowing other religions to worship in peace? how nice of you! oh now you're saying you do not want your religion to be compared to? so stop comparing your religion to that of other people's lah bangau!He also waded into the controversy over the word “Allah” which has been banned from use by Christians to describe their God,
“All this while they have never use the word Allah in our country, so why the sudden need for the word of Allah to be used? It is definitely their strategy to confuse the Muslims into following their religion. My advice to all parents is to take care of your children and not to be deceived by their evil strategies and evil intentions.
- Why the constant fear of Muslims converting to other religions? if your faith is strong, i do not see why a single word would confuse someone with a strong faith in converting to Christianity and please check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah. According to Wikipedia, the word Allah does not singularly refer to the Islamic god. It is merely an Arabic word that means god and yes, Christians and Jews use it too. i'm appalled that someone with apparently such a high education standard fail to notice it.

- for those of you who do not know, Tee's 'Ultra Kiasu' refers to Pakatan Rakyat. once again i perceive a feeling of mockery in this statement. "It is full of Santa Claus and New Year greetings'. he obviously hates everything that does not concern his religion. what i think he fails to notice about Christmas in particular is the spirit of love and giving, of compassion and good will! I am a Buddhist through and through but i love Christmas! heck i even sing Christmas songs with my Buddhist friends! where is religious tolerance when you continue to mock other religions? and honestly speaking, i think you are the one being the biggest full blown kiasu-er of all.The academic also defended the Utusan Malaysia from charges of promoting hate sentiments and disturbing harmony among races, levied by opposition parties and even Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.
“The extremist labelled the newspaper as criminals. If the newspaper is considered as criminal then it also meant that the journalist, newspaper columnist and author are also criminals. My question is, whether the ultra kiasu party news tabloid and the other racist political parties and those concocted with them are they also not evil?

- now for those of you who have not read Utusan Malaysia before, this is the paper that turns our Malay brothers and sisters against us. and yes, of course the journalists, newspaper columnist and author who fan racial hatred are criminals! how can they not be? i still remember reading a poem written on Utusan Malaysia that warns the non Malays not to test the patience of the Malays. and i will answer your question as a rakyat Malaysia that i find any journalist, newspaper columnist and author regardless of race or political party who fan racial sentiments as racists and criminals. i'm curious though, how come not one of the journalists, newspaper columnist and author of Utusan Malaysia were not prosecuted for stocking racial sentiments while other newspaper tabloids were threatened with closure and another reporter hauled up by the police when Utusan Malaysia churns out racial bullshit on a weekly basis?
-you know, i cannot say that he is putting race interest ahead because his ethnicity is Chinese! converting to Islam doesn't make you a Malay you know? what a muddled up person he is! i loath to call this person an academic with his lopsided views. i would say that he has placed religious interest ahead of everything else. not to mention that his comments smack of arrogance of the highest degree.
